Research Topic Links

Bone strength requires exercise and sufficient nutrients.  Aging does not require you to have weak bones.  Older adults need to factor in dietary chanages to keep bones strong.  Bone strength now requires, Vitamin D, Calcium, silicon, Vitamin K, magnesium and boron.

Don't get distracted by the media noise regarding bone health.  Eat a good diet and add the right nutrients to support your bone health.

    Checking Bone Health

    • Bone Density Scan
    • Peripheral DXA - like Bone density scan but takes measurements from two locations so is not as accurate.

The tests use x-rays to check to see how much calcium and other minerals are present in your bones.
