Notes:
Yesterday I started adding a handful of roasted almonds and tofu to my evening. For months, I avoided eating dinner but now, for the detox, I'm adding a cold dinner in the form of nuts (walnuts, almonds) and a broth soup (chicken or vegetable). Last night there was smoked tofu at the grocery store so I had tofu instead of a soup.
Habit formation
I'm renovating a boat and spent last evening working on one of my boat renovation chores. For the next thirty days, I will work on small projects having to do with the boat renovation that can be accomplished in less than an hour making an evening chore a positive habit and keeping up with my boat maintenance. while burning NEAT calories.
If you have more than one person living in your household, you will need to have a consensus with changes in your home routines. Let your family know what positive household chore you want to add into everyone's evening routine so that everyone is involved in doing household chores before playing video games, watching television or using mobile phones.
By adding chore routine into everyone's life, it will become a family habit to clean / organise / maintain the house in the evening before logging onto a computer, watching television or playing video games.
The cue to start the evening routines will be finishing dinner and putting the dishes in the sink or dishwasher (YOU can pick a different cue, this is just an example.) After dinner each member of the family will finish their evening household chore such as picking up clothes, starting a load of laundry, cleaning the kitchen, taking out the garbage, straightening up a room, sweeping and then signal they are done with their chore before going off and watching television or playing video games.
