60 Days of Rice: Day 1 Reset your Digestive System for Healthy Living

 Steamed Rice 

For 60 days, we  are eating a simple palette which includes steamed rice with every meal.  This detox is to reset our digestive systems and restore the building blocks needed for a healthy body.

Reminder: A cup of steamed rice has 205 calories and contains Iron, potassium, vitamin B, Thiamin, Manganese. 

The meals today focus on building up the awareness of each food's flavour profile.  We are eating the following today.  If you have time, look up the flavour profile and see if you can taste what they are talking about.    The full flavour profile of the meals will be in the Book RICE.

Breakfast

  • Snap Peas (handful)
  • Steamed Rice (1 Cup) with Mirin (tsp)  and Roasted white Sesame Seeds (tsp)
  • Espresso with powdered milk and sugar

Lunch

  • Espresso, milk, steamed rice, sugar - Combined for a warm arroz con leche. (1 Cup)
  • Fruit Tea

Dinner

  • Steamed rice (1 Cup)
  • Breaded Pumpkin Slices
