Intermediate Detox - The Trail Wellness Detox

30 day Trail Hiking Wellness Detox

I just finished 110 miles of difficult hiking through the mountains of Georgia and TN.  This hike experience is worth sharing and Health Storey is now translating it into the Trail Wellness Hike for Health Storey Wellness Detoxes.  The Trail Detox is an advanced wellness detox for experienced wellness detoxers.  The four week wellness detox focuses on building muscle glucose reserves, resetting sleep patterns and building core muscle strength.  Because of the intense training involved, health coaches need to work with a doctor to make sure their wellness detoxers are physically ready to hike at the gym.

Advanced Detoxing. This Health Storey wellness detox requires wellness detoxers to be able to workout daily at a target heart rate that does not overuse glucose reserves but will help reset their sleep patterns.  The full gym translation of the hike is currently underway.

My general results from this advanced wellness detox included:

  • The ability to walk difficult Level trail paths for 21 days without injury or extreme exhaustion.
  • No hunger or cravings during 21 days of intermittent fasting.
While Health Storey works on translating this difficult Trail Hike to the gym,  I will be working on the next detox which is the Southern Wellness Detox for all wellness detox levels. 

The Southern Wellness Detox is inspired by a cookbook I found while stopping at a hiker's hostel in NC. Many of the recipes are vegetarian or use meat as a flavoring. Because Health Storey does not use Pork or Beef products in any wellness detox recipe, the Southern wellness detox recipes will substitute chicken and chicken flavoring.  This detox is eight weeks long.
