Day 34 of 90 Self Research Study | Detox |

Thursday - Autumn - overcast cloudy day

400 Wakeup: alarm music

545 Commute to work 10 minute walk - 15 Minutes public transport 

630 to 730 Breakfast

  • Scrambled egg in chicken broth
  • Egg with coffee
  • Handful of almonds
  • Espresso with milk
  • Supplements because of limited food selection while detoxing and resetting tastebuds
630 - Work at a standing desk standing on a destabiliser for core strengthening while standing.  Calorie burn while standing more than 100 calories per hour.

A morning coffee helps with work focus and digestion.

Notes about Detox


For the Detox, I'm focusing on low to moderate intensity exercise with visits to the gym on a regular basis. 

Walking, using a destabiliser platform and standing at work are the main forms of low intensity exercise with NEAT added to ensure a minimum calorie burn that puts our daily calorie intake in a deficit.  Yesterday, I worked insulating one of the walls of my boat.

I purchased a treadmill for rainy day walks and have a gym membership.   With autumn my fitness routine is changing - one small change at a time. I stopped the gym in Cambridge (a second gym membership) to focus on changing the time I'm at work to later in the day for the autumn / winter season.

I'm still looking for an alarm for the last cue to go to bed and shut off the internet.
