Not all signals of complacency can be detected.
Complacency is when an individual or society feels they do not have to try harder to change a situation or do something about a situation. It may be associated with the idea of being satisfied or distracted from the situation.
Complacency caused by the following:
- Repetition of a pattern
- Excessive confidence caused by repetition
- Lack of motivation to change situations
- Lack of training to create changes to situations.
- Trust
- Risk
- Unawareness
- Anxiety
- Contentment
- Frustration
